xGestures 1.80 is up

xGestures 1.80 is now out of beta and available for download here: https://www.briankendall.net/xGestures/download.htm

I wouldn't be surprised if there were still more bugs to fix, particularly in Catalina. But for the time being I think it's good to go. I'll try to keep fixing any more bugs I find!

Woo hoo! Thank you Brian. There goes the last vestige of any kind of resistance I might've had against upgrading to Catalina.

This is awesome! Thanks so much. Also, love the 'quote' on the About tab. I am one of those five-plus people. :D

Still a few issues (at least in my pre-release version of Catalina:

1 - When I enable the option to show the gesture path, the drawn path is laggy
2 - When I use a gesture to switch to a desktop space, nothing happens upon using that gesture.

But otherwise, it works! Lovely work. Looking forward to the next build.

Sch great news! I bought xGestures 13 years ago, and I still use it daily. So glad you're continuing to support it. Thank you.

I bought xGestures over 10 years ago, and I have used it ever since. I appreciate so much that you've updated this for Catalina. The version I had had stopped working, and I was afraid I'd lost xGestures forever. Thanks so much.

Awesome, thank you so much. I was delaying the Catalina update just because xGestures is a too-important-to-lose piece of my workflow. Luckily I found your latest version and can now update the os without a huge productivity drop!

Brian please email me I wanted to ask you a couple questions, I'm a big fan of the demented cartoon movie robbyross13@gmail.com

wouldn't it be better just to email brian directly (guygizmo@gmail.com), or ask your questions here, instead of exposing your email address to everyone else? i'm not sure he checks the comments anymore :/

Is xGestures compatible with Big Sur?

Hi guys,

For those who wonder if xGestures works on Big Sur, the answer is YES – for me, at least. I have been testing the b9 version for a few days now, and it does well, just like on Catalina & Mojave.

Enjoy it still when updating ! :)

Hi presbutan doesnt seem to work with Big sur. It says enable access to assistive devices. But it seems enabled in the system preferences

@Barath, it's fully working for me too in Big sur. Maybe try removing permission / reinstalling xGestures?

PresButan wasn't working for me when I went to Big Sur either. I had to delete it and reinstall it and that fixed it.

One possibility could also be to remove xGestures from dhe "assistive devices" list and have it ask to be added again. This process have helped me several times with non-working apps after a machine migration.
